As a reminder all owners MUST carry homeowner’s insurance on their condo, whether there is a mortgage on the property or not. Many people learned the hard way how important insurance is when the hurricane caused damage to their units here. This insurance will also help protect you if another unit suffers damages due to an issue in your unit. If you do not currently have insurance on your unit, you must purchase a policy immediately. The policy should cost less than $600 for the year. If you are paying more than that, you may be over insured or paying for coverage that you do not need.
