City of Orlando Noise Ordinance

The following is an excerpt from the City of Orlando Code Chapter 42 regarding Noise

(1)  It shall be unlawful for any person to make, create, or maintain any unreasonably loud, disturbing, and unnecessary noise within the City.  Noise of such character, intensity, or duration as to be detrimental to the life, health, comfort or response of any individual is prohibited.

(2)  It shall be unlawful to play any radio, phonograph or any musical instrument or operate a sound-amplifying device within the City in such a manner or with such volume, especially during the hours between 10pm and 7am, as to annoy, disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any dwelling, hotel or other type of residence.

Note:  If noise continues a complaint should be filed with the City of Orlando Police Department (non-emergency) at 407 246-2414.  If the noise is caused by an animal, a complaint should be made with Orange County Animal Control at 407 836-3111.
