On Friday July 27th the hot tub was stuck by lightning causing it to malfunction. Yesterday it was repaired and it is now back open. Luckily no one was in the hot tub or the pool when the lightning struck. That makes two lightning strikes in Southpointe and a two week time span. We urge everyone to get out of the pool area immediately when there is a storm. If you can hear thunder or see lightning, the lightning is close enough to strike you. On many occasions we have had to force people out of the pool during a bad storm. People think it is fun to play in the pool, or let their children go in the pool during the storms, but this is very dangerous. Please adhere to the pool rules and if there is a storm approaching get indoors as quickly as possible.
